These properties directly affect the standardization and safety of its packaging, transportation, storage, and delivery. A deep understanding of its logistics properties helps build an efficient, compliant, and low-risk supply chain system, ensuring product quality stability and safety throughout the entire distribution process.

Physical state and viscosity characteristics are primary logistics factors to consider. 3D resins are mostly low- to medium-viscosity liquids with good flowability at room temperature, but their viscosity changes significantly with temperature. Low temperatures may cause viscosity to increase, even approaching a gel state, increasing the difficulty of pumping and filling; high temperatures accelerate molecular motion, increasing the risk of leakage and potentially triggering pre-curing reactions. Therefore, the ambient temperature during logistics must be controlled within the manufacturer's specified range, generally recommended to be between 5°C and 35°C, and drastic temperature fluctuations should be avoided.

Photosensitivity and light-protection requirements constitute special constraints in logistics. The resin contains photoinitiators, which can trigger chain polymerization upon exposure to ultraviolet or strong visible light, causing increased viscosity, gelation, or even complete curing, leading to product failure. Therefore, transport and storage containers must be made of opaque materials and equipped with light-shielding packaging, such as aluminum foil bags, black HDPE bottles, or cartons with built-in light-shielding linings. Light exposure time should be minimized during loading, unloading, and transshipment; handling at night or in low-light indoor conditions can reduce risks.

Volatile and odor characteristics also affect logistics arrangements. Some low-viscosity resins contain small amounts of volatile monomers or solvents, which may produce irritating odors in confined spaces, affecting human health and air quality. Transport vehicles and storage facilities should have good ventilation, and air purification or adsorption devices should be provided where necessary. For areas with odor sensitivity or high environmental requirements, resin products with low-odor, low-volatility formulations are preferred to reduce environmental impact and compliance pressure.

Chemical stability and compatibility relate to the risk of mixing with other goods. 3D resin is generally a non-flammable and non-explosive liquid, but it may react adversely with certain chemicals (such as strong oxidizers, acids, and alkalis). Mixed transportation may cause deterioration or container corrosion. Therefore, during logistics sorting and loading, product segregation should be implemented to avoid storing incompatible goods in the same vehicle or warehouse. Corrosion-resistant and well-sealed packaging containers should be selected to reduce the probability of cross-contamination.

Safety and protection requirements cannot be ignored throughout the entire logistics process. Although most 3D resins are not highly toxic or hazardous materials, their uncured state may irritate the skin and mucous membranes. Long-term or large-volume contact requires wearing protective gloves and goggles. Transport documents should include necessary warning labels, such as "Keep away from light," "Keep away from moisture," and "Avoid skin contact," so that carriers and warehouse personnel can take appropriate protective measures. In case of accidental leakage, absorbent materials should be used to collect the spill, and the spill should be disposed of harmlessly according to the manufacturer's instructions to prevent environmental pollution.

Packaging and labeling are fundamental to ensuring logistics quality. Common packaging forms include dark glass or high-density polyethylene bottles, covered with shock-absorbing material and placed in sturdy cardboard boxes. Some high-value or fragile products are palletized. Labels must clearly indicate the product name, batch number, production date, expiration date, net content, storage conditions, and safety warnings to ensure traceability and predictable risks.

In general, the logistical properties of 3D resins encompass multiple aspects, including physical state sensitivity, photochemical activity, volatility, chemical stability, and safety requirements. Only by developing comprehensive storage and transportation plans based on these properties can quality assurance and safe delivery be achieved in a complex supply chain, providing reliable support for the stable operation of downstream photocurable additive manufacturing.
